How to Do the Uttanasana to Low Lunge

Hello. Sue and Lauren here, will be showing us the second breakdown to the Sun Salutation Shivananda style. So, I'm going to have them both standing with our arms to the sides. Palms facing forward. Very slowly, take a nice inhale. Exhale to heart center. Inhale, arms all the way up and back. Take a gentle back bend. Exhale, forward fold. Forward fold, Uttanasana. Hands come down beside the feet. Beautiful. Now, I'll be taking the forward fold into a nice low lunge here. This is the second breakdown for the Sun Salutation. Very slowly ladies, drop the right foot back. Keep the hands beside the feet. Drop the knee, release to the top of the foot. And, looking straight forward kind of gently roll the shoulders back. Your hands are in spider mudra, on the fingertips right like this. Beautiful. Just let that heart shine through. And, we're going to come right back up to a standing forward fold. So, stepping forward hands right between the feet. Enjoy that forward fold. One more time. We're going to do the left leg now. Take a nice inhale. Exhale, step that left foot back coming into the low lunge. Release to the knee. Release to the top of the foot. Hands in spider mudra on the fingertips, allowing that heart to shine through. Looking straight forward.
