Hi! My name is Monica and I'm going to show you another stretch that you could do on the ground here for your hamstring so the muscles are right on the back of your thigh there. This is a common one that I'm sure you have seen before. Some people call it the hurdler stretch. Basically your are going to bring one leg out so we are going to stretch our right leg here keeping your left leg bent. You want to make sure that as you are leaning over towards your right leg that you are keeping your back nice and straight and you want to be leaning with your back straight. You don't want to round out your back like this. You want to keep it nice and straight and think of the motion that is coming directly from your hip; not from your lower or upper back at all. You just simply reach for your ankle right like this. You could move to your other leg; same type of thing just reach in down, you want to make sure that you are keeping this knee bent right here. You don't want to be doing this type of stretch. This isn't anymore effective than when you have your leg like this. Plus it places your hip and your knee in acquired position which most people find in uncomfortable. So just reach down grab your leg back nice and straight hold for 30-60 seconds.
