Battlestations Midway Firefighting & Weapons Repair

DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. When your ship receives a hit in any of its flammable sections, that part of the ship will usually catch on fire. Now, fire works a little bit differently, meaning that its damage will increase as time goes on. So, if you have one fire and you don't put it out, it will continue to incur damage and destroy your ship eventually. So, you gotta get those fires put out right away. As you can see here, we just took a hit to our weapons. So, what we're going to want to do is get to our repair screen right away. Now, with weapon damage, there isn't necessarily an icon that shown on your general list, instead when your weapons' light showed you that there's a malfunction, you're going to see a separate screen, and this separate screen will give you information on your turrets, your torpedo tubes, your depth charge racks and your artillery all in one screen. Just like with other damage components, a flashing red icon in any of your weapon systems means that that individual weapon system is not working. If it's red, it is working, but being very close to being completely damaged and in turn, a yellow icon means that it has less than 50% damage and will still be functional and will be able to take a hit or two more.
