DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. This right here is the flooding panel. This showed you how much water your ship is taken on due to a leak. This is your hull damage indicator. This is going to tell you the amount of damage that your hull has sustained during conflict, and if your hull has been too damaged but has been repaired, any new hit will automatically cause a leak. This here is your crew panel. This is going to allow you to assign navy sailors and repairmen to repair different components of the ship. As you could see here, we've just taken it a torpedo, which means we have a leak in our hull, so it's time to get back to the repair screen and put some men to repair that water leak. So as you can see here now, our leak icon has lit up and is taking on water. We can see that in our panel here. Alright, in order to assign men to fix that water leak, you're going to want to push S on your keyboard. What you're going to do is once you push S, you're going to cycle through the different components that you wish to repair. Once you're on the component that you wish to repair, hit the D key to allocate different men to that repair. You can have a maximum of three men on one repair or if you have multiple repairs going on, you can move them around. By default, your men remain at general quarters, which mean that they will repair all ships components evenly. Now, keep in mind you're going to want to come back to the screen and return your men to general quarters once the repair is completed. If you don't, other repairs that are needed won't get done nearly as quick; however, you can come back to the screen and put those men on another repair instantly.
