Battlestations Midway Operation of Deck Weapons

DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. So, now, we demonstrated what the AA guns could do. It's time to move on to some artillery. Now, every warship in the game of Battlestations: Midway will carry some form of artillery. To switch your weapons, push the Shift key on your keyboard. Once you pushed the Shift key, you'll see that your weapon has changed to artillery and a different type of crosshair now appears on the screen. Also, with artillery, you cannot use artillery to shoot down aircraft. As tempting as this might be, your artillery simply will not be able to track moving targets accurately enough to get an accurate target lock. You must use your artillery on a stationary craft or a craft with a large surface, such as a ship or an enemy bunker. Alright, now is a good time to talk about some of these red lights that we see here. You'll have four red lights on this particular ship. When you get a green light that means your gun is ready to fire and it can see the target. If you're finding a flashing red light this means that your turret is reloading. If you're finding a yellow light, this means that the target is currently being acquired by your gun. It just means that your turret is essentially turning to face that target. A solid red light either means you're out of ammunition or, again, your turret cannot see its target.
