Battlestations Midway Main Action Screen
DIXON GILLETTE: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette, and I want to welcome you to this How to Guide for Battlestations: Midway. At the top right here is our compass. It shows you where all of the units are at, enemy and friendly. It shows you the direction you're looking in and it also shows you the direction your ship is travelling in. Down here on the bottom right is your helm control. This is showing you your current speed along and which rudder inputs you have given the control interface. Here in the center screen are your crosshairs. These will allow you to fire your weapons, aim a weapon, and also select other units to jump to during game play. Now, down here to the bottom left is your unit window. This is going to give you information on the unit that you are currently operating. It will tell you the name, the class, and the health of your vessel, and will also indicate if there are any other units in your formation. Go ahead and try moving your throttle forward. You can do this by pushing S and W on the keyboard. You can also likewise utilize your rudder by pushing the keys A and D. You'll be using this unless you have an external command interface for your game play. Now, keep in mind when you're operating a ship once you set a rudder command that ship will continue to turn that direction until you straighten out your rudder.
