How to Play Limit Texas Hold'em Poker

Hi, my name is Ernie Crespo with Expert Village. Today I'm going to teach you the fundamentals of Texas Holdem. In this section I'm going to teach you about Limit Texas Holdem. For this example, we're going to be playing Two Four Holdem. Two Four Holdem will be denoted by having a one dollar small blind as denoted by the one chip for one dollar and a two dollar big blind. When betting in Limit Holdem, there would be a one dollar small blind and a two dollar big blind. In order to see the flop, the little blind will have to match a dollar. Again, reminder, we are playing a Two Four Limit Holdem game. Two being the minimum bet and four dollars being the maximum bet on the turn and on the river card. Here I'm going to quickly deal a quick hand. Here's the flop. All betting in the limit game while the flop is going to be a minimum of two dollars. The maximum each player can bet is two dollars to start. The following player will have to decide if they will either match the two dollars to continue to play or raise an additional two dollars. The turn card is dealt and in betting in the limit game increases. As we mentioned, this is a two four limit game. The betting has now increased to four dollars on the turn card. Same goes as to the river card. The river card comes out and it's a four of clubs and now another round of betting occurs and once again, the minimum and maximum bet for the river is four dollars. If a player chooses to raise, they must raise in increments of four on the turn and on the river. If they choose to raise on the flop, they would have to raise in increments of two.
