Using Kiln to Make Fused Glass Jewelry

Hi, this is Cheryl from Expert Village and I'm going to be teaching you how to make fused glass jewelry today. So, check it out. This right here is what we're going to be doing with the kiln, this is a kiln shelf, always hafta have your mitts, cause you don't want to burn your little digits, cause that would hurt. What you do is you take your kiln shelf and you?re always going to have to coat it with your shelf primer, which is already done. It takes time and you have to make sure its dry and that stuff like that. So, what you do is take your piece, which I shouldn?t have touched but I did, but it?s alright, its pretty dry. Put it together makes sure it?s nice and even. Stick it right down in the middle of the kiln, whichever is good and basically fix it. Some people use Elmer?s glue and stuff and stick it together before hand but not me. So now I take top and you cover it, right down like that. And you?re always going to have to make sure your kiln is plugged in, which would kind of help. So there you go, nice and plugged in.
