On behalf of Expert Village I'm Laura Bandford and I'm going to teach you how to make a delicious chicken pot pie. We made our roux with butter and flour, now we are going to continue to make our sauce. The roux has cooked so that the raw flour taste is out of it, the vegetables are also half way cooked. Now we need to add the liquid, in this case chicken broth (hear that sizzle) that means we are right where we are suppose to be. This is a low sodium fat free chicken broth. I'm putting in four cups and now what we are going to want to do is bring the heat up. We are going to bring this up to a boil and then down to a simmer and that is going to let the broth thicken up when it meets up with our roux. When we come back we are going to put the chicken in our pot, see you then.
