What is Chicken Pot Pie?

On behalf of Expert Village I'm Laura Bandford and I'm going to teach you how to make a delicious chicken pot pie. Hello today we are going to talk about chicken pot pies and make a delicious version of a chicken pot pie. The pot pie has an interesting history. What is a pot pie? Well that is a delicious stew cased in a flaky pastry. What can be better than that? The original pot pies were called pasties and they were made in England they would be what we consider single servings. Like about this size like a small football. They usually had beef or mutton. Speaking of mutton Australia had a pot pie too, the most similar pot pie to the ones we make today were made by the Pennsylvania Dutch, they were called Bolt Boys and they were family sized. That is the kind of pot pies we are going to make today. Join me in the next clip when I show you the ingredients that you are going to need to make a delicious chicken pot pie.
