Clip-on Sunglasses: Guide to Men's Eyeglasses

Now I’m going to talk to you a little bit about clip-ons that are available in glasses for men. Clip-ons are a really nice option to try to kill two birds with one stone, one stone so to speak. A lot of people hate to carry two sets of glasses with them at all times, so this is a really nice option and makes it convenient for you to get sunglasses with your regular glasses. There are lots of different mounting systems available for clip-on sunglasses, there’s a traditional claw approach which stretches one side of the clip-on onto the glasses and then you stretch it over to the other side and they have little claws on the back of the clip-on. I don’t like using those because they could scratch up your lenses. In the rimless that we talked about earlier, these ones in particular, these Silhouettes, most of them come with clip-ons. How the clip-on is attached on this particular model is that it’s going to be clipped onto the bridge, okay, it snaps on and it snaps off. The snapping on is actually a little bit harder, it’s a little more cumbersome the, it’s not exactly a smooth, smooth thing to do it usually takes two hands to get the clip-on on this particular model. However, the other models that we carry are going to be magnetized clip-ons, these are really easy, you can do this with one hand, you can do this when you’re driving, this particular, again this particular model’s is on the bridge but it’s magnetized, so it’s a very easy snap on and snap off activity. When you put your, when you are looking for clip-ons, generally speaking most of your clip-ons are going to be polarized. Polarized clip-ons are great for adding kind of distinction to what you are looking at and a lot of people who spend a lot of time on water, you know outdoor activities are really going to enjoy the polarized clip-on. Please ask the associate if a frame does come with a clip-on which generally speaking I would say that you would like to use a magnetized clip-on for the ease and convenience of use. That is the clip-ons.
