Next I’m going to talk to you about the rim-less frame, also known as drill mount frames. Drill mount frames are for a person who may have a lighter prescription, the frames, the lenses do need to be drilled into so it’s not something that a frame loops around. I’ll show you specifically on this set of glasses right here the, your lens is going to be traced and they are going to drill through it and insert pins into the lens right here so your lens can’t be so thick so you don’t, you can’t drill a thicker lens. It won’t be stable, there are ways to thin that down but in general you would want to have a lighter prescription when you are choosing a brand such as this, which is a Silhouette glass. The frames that we choose to carry are Silhouettes; the reason that we do like this brand is because they are available in lots of different styles, lots of different colors and lots of different options. You can mix and match a lens shape that you might like, with let’s say a different color temple or a different style temple. These are available in plastic, metal, in which this one is a hinge-less, and they are also available with a, with ones that do have hinges so they will fold up nicely in a case. We choose the Silhouette also because of its mounting style, it has a push pin design, which I kind of pointed out earlier. The push pin design kind of eliminates the cracking, traditionally the rimless and drill mounts used to have a cracking issue. If you have nuts and bolts on the back of a lens and it gets too tight you can have fissures occur in the lens and cracking at that point where it is screwed in. With this particular design you do not have those issues, there is no cracking, there is no way to tighten those up too tight. So Silhouette is a really nice brand, it’s a very comfortable, very lightweight, very inconspicuous, the most inconspicuous thing you will find on the market. So that in a nutshell is going to be your rimless glasses.
