How to Play "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Hey, this is Joe with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. This last segment we are going to go over "Free Bird". Now the simple chord arrangement to "Free Bird" is only five chords long. Let's take a look at it. We start out with the standard G chord, third fret on the E string, second fret on the A string, open D, open G, Third fret on the B string, third fret on the E string. Then we are going to hit this note. Second fret of that low E and then we are just going to play a common old E minor chord. Open, two, two, open, open, open. Then we are going to play an F chord which is barred on the first fret, but it is E chord form. It goes one, three, three, two, one, one. Then we are going to play a C at nine on the A string third fret, D string second fret, open G, third fret B string. Then we are going to play a D chord. Open D, second fret G, third fret B, second fret high E. All together play it really, really simple. It sounds like this. And we are going to end it with that simple song. Thanks for joining me today. I hope to see you on another video series. You take it easy.
