Self Massage Techniques for Before & After Workouts

Hi! I'm Angela on behalf of expertvillage.com and right now I will show you a technique that is most commonly used before exercising this is a self massage technique and you also want to do it after finishing exercising so you don't tare the muscles. It is very simple before you do your stretches you just want to go through your muscles and as you see what I'm doing is just going in a circular motion like this. It is very important that you go in a circular motion you could feel the muscle and you could feel the ends its like that. What you could do is do this with both hands and just knead it. You want to start from either the top to bottom or bottom up. This is what you want to do especially when you are doing a lot of running you want to concentrate on the muscles that you would be using. Just massage them do it to the other leg and if you are weight lifting do the same to this muscles cause these are the most subjective to taring during exercise or weight lifting. You just want to light do this in a circular motion or you could also do it in a fist. You could do it down here as well and again you want to repeat this self massage technique before and after exercising.
