How to Conclude Blower Test

Hi! My name is Joshua Lindsey with CFM Building Science Solution. On behalf of Expert Village, we are going to be doing a blower door test on this home. Now this is all there is to a blower door test. We are going to take this information and we can recommend what the ventilation rate would need to be for the home. That one is not recommending too much because homes have a lot of leak in it. So it is actually recommending that we stay away from it. Okay if you put a ventilation system into a really tight home, you are controlling all the air flow that comes into the home. When you are not controlling that, you are also not able to filter that air flow in and out of the home. So when you have a home that is really leaky like this one is, you are not controlling the air flow. It is not filtered air. It is literally anything that is blowing by outside. So obviously that is not a good thing. We would prefer to having filtered air that comes in.
