How to Use a Duct Blaster

Hi! My name is Joshua Lindsey with CFM Building Science Solutions. On behalf of Expert Village, we are going to do a duct test on this house. This is a duct blaster right here. Okay the reason we are hooking up to the return side of air and maybe I need to say what the return side is. The return side is where your air conditioning unit pulls the air too. Okay so in other words your vents that go throughout your house, they blow air out, the air returns to this vent right up here. Something that you will notice that is important on this is your fresh air that comes into this vent. It comes in before your filter. You want fresh air to go in your house. Okay your fresh air is coming in right there and your air conditioning unit is pulling that fresh air in, it is filtering it and it is sending out throughout the house so that you have fresh air in your home, so that is what we are doing right now.
