Hi! My name is Joshua Lindsey with CFM Building Science Solution. On behalf of Expert Village, we are going to do a duct test in this house. We are doing a rough duct test on this house. Rough duct meaning literally that the house being built is in the rough stage. What we are going to do go all through the house and take all the registers off like this so we are covering everything up. Okay we've got that register, we've got that register over here. We are going to go through every register through the whole house and we are going to tape it off just like that. After we have taped all of our registers off what we are going to do is we are going to come into the room right here and we are going to poke a little hose right up inside here. This little hose is going to run to our computer and it is going to tell us what the pressure is inside that duct work. We are taping up the duct work so that we can seal it off. Where the vent is, you want the air to come out right there. We are going to seal off all those areas because we want to figure out how much air is leaking out into. In this case, Tuscon, Arizona. Everybody knows it is impossible to cool Tuscon but a lot of people are trying because they have leaky duct work. So we are going to test and see just how leaky.
