Hello, my name is Frank Torres and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. And this segment is about mapping while converting to a paperless office. Now you might be asking yourself w hat is mapping? Well, mapping is the way your scanner will talk to your computer. It's sort of like your computer giving road directions to your scanner on where to put your e-files on your hard drive. Now, I know it may sound complicated - and it is - but this should be under the agreement from your contract that you have with your scanner company to have this set up for you. But you'll still want to have your plan so that when your copier tech comes to visit you, you'll know precisely where you want your e-files so that all your employees can access them. If your mapping should change in the future, if you decide to put them in a separate place, ask your tech how you can do it yourself. That way you won't have to wait out a service call. And keep in mind this should be covered as support under most of your existing contracts. I think if you follow all these tips and get well-versed on mapping that will be another piece of the puzzle added to converting to a paperless office.
