How to Check a Toilet for Leaks

My name is Jeff Pence and I am with Bob Street today from Houdini Home Improvement in Lebanon, Ohio in behalf of Expert Village, In this clip, we will be turning on the water and checking for leaks. As the water starts to fill up in the tank, just check around the bolts an underneath to make sure that there is no water leaking out and your water supply line as well that comes in from the house. You can check where you tightened it up with a wrench and where you tightened it by hand going into the tank. Also, look around the front to make sure that your large gasket is not leaking. Also, check to make sure that the water turns off as the float gets to the top.
