Using Variations in Lines in Still Life Drawing

Hi this is Julia Karch for Expert Village.com. In this video series we will be talking about still life drawing for beginners. In this section, we are talking about variations in lines and that depends on the lightness of your touch or the strength of your touch, the pressure or also the material you are using. I am using ink right now so therefore I am committed to the line I can’t erase anything but as you can see this is a 1. See how much lighter I can get with that and this is probably a good pen or a good touch to start out your drawing with. When you want to get a little bit darker or more dramatic approach, you can go to the 05. And also remember that a lot of times with ink you can do a lot of scribbling and create form out of just building one line over another. I know it does not look like much like drawing but it is.
