Playing Scales in the Skip 1 Up Approach on Guitar

Hello, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock in Rock Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. We are going to use a scale method this time called the skip 1 method as you might imagine you're going to be skipping a note at a time. Let's watch that on the guitar, you're going to start with the first note of the scale, skip this one and go to the next. So it goes like this. (playing guitar) Go to the second note of the scale skip that one and go to this (playing) go the third note of the scale, skip fourth note, skip like that, 2 at a time it sounds like this. (playing guitar) Give that a solid run through a couple of times and commit it to memory. In the next segment we're going to go back down to scale, see you there.
