How to Play Scales in Down 3 Approach on Guitar

Hello, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock in Rock Conservatory on behalf Expert Village. We just used the up 3 method, we are going to do that in reverse. We'll call it the down 3 method, we are going to start at the top of scale and work our way down. We are going to start at the highest note of the scale and go down 3 notes (playing) go to the second highest note of the scale and go down 3 notes. Third highest note of the scale and go down 3 notes on and on until we continue in that fashion until we get to the bottom of the scale again. It sounds like this; we are going to break it up a little bit so you can see what I'm doing. (playing guitar) In the next segment we are going to do a sixty beats per minute exercise with that method, see you there.
