Electrical Requirements for Using an Electric Trimmer

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip we'll be talking about electrical requirements. This trimmer comes with a polarized plug which means that one prong is larger than the other prong. Now the extension chord that you are going to want to use will also have one side that is a little bit larger than the other side. This safety feature allows you to only plug the chord in one way and it does help reduce shock. Now you will also need to plug the extension chord into an outlet that it polarized or has one side a little bit larger than the other side. Again this is just helps reduce the potential of electric shock. Lastly, you just want to make sure and check over your extension chord just to make sure it is in good condition and that there is no cracks or breaks in the chord. If so the chord needs to be replaced.
