Dicing Onion for Making Kitchari

Hi, I'm Amanda with Expert Village in this clip I'll be cutting the onion. I'm going to be using about half of an onion today. If you have the tendency to cry when you're cutting the onion it's good to just chill the onion for twenty minutes before you cut it. That can kind of sew the aromas of the onion. I'm just going to cut that top part off and then use half of the onion. So onions are really great for colds, good for nervous system disorders and they are as well part of the garlic family, so they have a lot of the medicinal properties such as fighting the common cold such as garlic does. So I'm going to be dicing it fairly small so it will have a chance to again have some uniform on the sauce that we are going to be making.
