How to Choose a Chess Move

There are a couple of chess moves that you do know, need to know about, and a couple of laws which are important for everybody to be aware of. And one of them is what actually constitutes a move? Now in chess, the rule is that if you touch one of your pieces, then you must move that piece. There is, however, an exception to that. It is something called J'adoube. And J'adoube is French for I adjust. And it occurs in this sort of situation. And it has to be done on your move. So you're playing white, you have a pawn which is kind of here, so it's not clear which square it is. So you say J'adoube, or I adjust. You put it in the middle. There you do not have to move the piece. But any other time that you touch this white pawn, you would have to move it. And if you touched the black pawn, because remember, it takes sideways, you would have to take the black pawn, put your pawn there. That is what the rules state. And if you touch the pawn, you must move it. And, in this instance, if you didn't want to take, you could move it by simply going ahead. And as soon as you remove your hand from the piece, that is the end of the move.
