Figure Base as Hit Zone in Heroscape

MIKE LOPEZ: Hi, I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing Heroscape and its expansion sets. And now we're going to go over using the base of the figure as a valid attack point. Now, when a figure is on a ladder, as we see here, that this figure is on the ladder and Syvarris is underneath that figure. Now once again, using the line of sight, you will not be able to see any of the hittable points on this creature that are listed on the card. However, when you are on ladder, different rules apply. The rule in this case is that you may use your line of sight and as long as you can see the base then it is an attackable point while this creature is on the ladder. So Syvarris can actually attack this creature even though his line of sight does not allow him to see any of the hittable points that are listed on the card. And in turn, since he is on the ladder, it is almost like he is rather defenseless because the base or his base is a very, very large seeable thing which can't be turned in any way to avoid being attacked. This is a rule for attacking someone who is on the ladder.
