How to Approach Battlements in Heroscape

MIKE LOPEZ: Hi, I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing Heroscape and its expansion sets. And now we're going to discuss adjacent to and engagement with battlements. Now, here we have our demon guy who is on the inside of the battlement and is higher up than these creatures which means he's going to have a height advantage when attacking and as we see here, there are creatures in the tiles that are next to the tile he's standing on. Well, there are battlements in the way. If you see, from this little guy here, he is a height of four and there are 1, 2 levels plus so--1, 2, 3 for the battlement which means that the battlement is five high. Since the battlement is five high and this creature is only four that means that this creature is not adjacent to or engaged with the demon which means he can leave and not take leave damage and the demon can do so also. Alright. This guy who's on the upper level and across from the demon in the battlement is a height of five and the battlement is only three high which means these two are adjacent to and engaged with each other so if either creature leaves this engagement then they will take leave damage from the other creature.
