Chopping Cilantro & Mint for Stuffed Vegetables

Hi. This is Matt Senatore on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to learn how to make our stuffed veggies, Mideastern-style. Okay, so now we're going to take the leaves off the stem, the cilantro leaves off the stem and we'll put that on our dicing board. Just kind of pick those off the stem. We don't need this here, we just want the leaves and I'll throw that in there. I love cilantro. It definitely adds a really awesome flavor to your meal. I'll pick those leaves off and discard the stem. I think one more of these will do. Okay. And then, we're also going to pick the leaves off, the mint leaves off of the stem. And we'll just add that, because it's all going to the same place anyway. So it's okay. You can just chop those up together. Let's just get rid of that stem there, just pull the mint leaves off. Ohh, that's powerful, it smells like chewing gum actually, mint chewing gum. Okay, we're just going to pull the leaves off, discard the stem, and let's use one more. Okay, so here is our mint leaves and our cilantro leaves. So, we're just going to kind of just cut those up. It's a little sticky on my hands. So we're just going to kind of, and try to dice it real fine. You know, and just put them back together in a bunch and just go over it again and do that one more time. See how it's getting nice and chopped here? There we go, that smells awesome. Let's do that one more time. Okay, I think now we're ready to add that to our filling. And just put that in there. Awesome. And now we're ready for our next step.
