How To Draw the Setting for a Cartoon Snowman

On behalf of Expert Village my name is Paul Louis and today I'm going to teach you how to draw Christmas cartoon characters. Now our character is standing here in the dead of winter so he needs some kind of environment. What can we do to make an environment? Well we can start off with snow and we want to give the effect that he is already on top of the snow, you don't want to put the snow directly underneath here. You want to kind of start with the snow mound right kind of behind him and if it was going through him it would then pick up right about here, wouldn't it. You can even make some little mounds of snow in the background and that is going to be our snow. Maybe it is at night and you want to make a little moon (half moon) right about there and then we have an environment for him to hang out in. A winterly environment and when we come back what we are going to do is going to add some more detail to this character.
