How to Clean Screen Printing Tools & Bins

Hi, this is Mark Kneeskern, on behalf of Expert Village. And in this clip, I'm going to show you how to clean up after you have screen printed your shirts. The first thing you want to do, after you are done with your last print is immediately swipe the ink off your screen, and put it into a catchall, because you might have colors mixed together. And you don't want to contaminate your other colors by putting it back in there. So take your screen right away, and take it to a shower or a tub, or a big wash bin. And start using hot water, and just rinse it off really good. And make sure your newspaper parts are pulled off completely. And if you want to be really thorough about this, you can take a brush and maybe even some soapy water and scrub it a bit, if the ink doesn't seem to be coming out of your screen. You can use these screens multiple times. I've used mine hundreds of times. Just because I've kept it clean and have cleaned it out really well. And you'll want to clean your squeegee and your other tools as well. And that's how you clean up after screen printing.
