What Is Screen Printing?

Hi, this is Mark Kneeskern, on behalf of Expert Village. And in this clip, I'm going to tell you what screen printing is. Screen printing is a creative process, in which ink is run through a screen that has a design placed on it, or within it. And it transfers the design onto whatever material the screen is sitting upon. The method I use is stenciled screen printing. It's easy, it's cheap, anyone can do it, it requires no experience or harsh chemicals. All you have to do is cut a design out of newsprint, place it on the screen, then place the screen upon a Tshirt or fabric, or paper. And then you run a squeegee across this, and that transfers the design onto that material. This is one example of a screen printed design, using the stencil process.
