Drawing Lesson: Creating a Cylinder

Alright, from here, this is where it kind of gets kind of tricky. This is kind of where you're going to start, starting to getting away from this guy and start getting into your hand. So what I would do to make a sphere is, these are just kind of like guidelines, but basically what we want to do is we're going to create a sphere within this "X". We're going to make one here as well. So to warm yourself up; let's get another piece of paper before we do this. I'm just going to take a random piece of paper that I've got out and I've already drawn on it. So don't try to waste too much paper, but if you have extra pieces just laying around, then go ahead and do that. Basically, the best way to warm up to do an oval is practice. What you want to do is, get your hand to do a circular motion, not like a perfect circle, I'm not talking about these guys, because that is almost like a straight-on shot. We're doing something that's in perspective so it's going to be tilted.
