That cage is way too small. It's the same one I had before I got a C&C cage. I know. It was also expensive compared to a C&C cage. You can make gigantic cages at www.cavycages.com.

Hide Boxes for Pet Guinea Pigs

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am here at Extra Care Animal Hospital in Davey, Florida, today, and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to educate you a little bit about owning a guinea pig. Guinea pigs do like to have visual security so it is important that you have some sort of a hide box in their cage that they can go in to hide when they want to get away from everything. It is very important that this hide box be accessible on the inside to you so that you can always make sure that your guinea pig is healthy. It is also very important to clean the hide box whenever you clean the guinea pig’s cage and always inspect the hide box at least once to twice a week to make sure that your guinea pig is not chewing it or causing any damage or getting any large pieces of it off. Many different hide boxes area available for your guinea pig. Some of them are wooden, plastic, several different materials. There are even cloth fuzzy ones but whatever box you choose, just make sure that it is the appropriate size for your guinea pig.
