Drawing Lesson: Darkening Lines

So what I am going to do in the next minute is I am going to show I going to fill in the dark spots just so you can see the cut through of the box and how we did it. Ok. So I am going to fill in all the lines that were going to be seeing nice and dark so you can see the actual shape. Eventually what you want to do is train your eye to do this by yourself this method, so you don't have to have all these lines or you can do an overlay which is basically, getting a like a lighter piece of paper a sheet of paper going over it, over the top of it and just tracing out what you want instead of all these construction lines. There now we are folding the back of the box with these thick lines to see what we have done. So you get an idea. Now you are seeing we have got this outline of this shape but let's do the inside lines as well so it really starts to pop. Basically you have a basic cut through. So we are simply dividing and using the equation of the horizon points and the two points. Were having these two points and understanding how to cut down through a box you can make pretty much any shape.
