Drawing Lesson: Cut & Reshape a Box

Alright in this next segment, like we did for the two point perspective with the boxes, we're going to do the same thing except for I'm going to show you how to actually cut the box and make it a different shape, kind of play around with it, so. I'm going to give you the basics and then from there you can kind of figure it out for yourself and start making all sorts of wild shapes. So that's what we're going to do with this segment. OK, so just like I said last time, we're going to be using two point perspective but I'm going to show you how to cut through, like a box but basically we're going to show you to break down the box and how to cut through and make more of an advanced type of shape and then we'll go from there. So just like last time we're going to start with your, you know, a basic horizon line, you get two points and that's basically how we get started. So once you do that basically just kind of pick a point where you're going to build your basic box like you've done before. So we'll just pick right in the middle so it's nice and clean. So we've got our point on our box and let?s just draw a line straight up. So that's going to be the front corner of our box just like we do it every time. It doesn't matter, you know, how long it is or whatever, how big you want to make the box. But let's try to stay away from this horizon line so it doesn't get all flat up in here, like I said earlier. Alright, so once you've done that let's just kind of continue how you would normally build the box, and let's make it, let's make the box kind of cut through, like we did last time, a little three dimensional like a glass box, so take your points, just like you would last time. Make sure they all line up to the horizon line.
