Well, the Pool Vac Ultra is designed for years of worry-free operation. There are a couple of things you're going to need to do to keep it working at it's best. Take a look over here. One of the things I want to point out is that this is the grate in the back, okay? So, as the water comes through the pump, it sucks through the bottom to grab debris, but it also needs to vent water in through the front here. So, if debris gets into it, well, that's going to stop it and the water coming in through here is part of how it operates. So, using a small brush, you can get these at pretty much anywhere, use your own toothbrush or put in there. And just keep it clean as debris gets in there. You want to make sure, because I'll tell you what, those little bits and pieces like to jam in there. All right, this one being a new one, not much of a worry. The other thing you want to take a look at is the wings on the side. The bottom of the cleaner has a pressure zone, right here. Cleans from tip to tip on both of these wings. So, it's got to make a seal with the bottom of the pool. If the wings start to wear down, you're going to lose that suction and only start to suck directly underneath the hole, duplicating the time it takes it to clean the pool. So, what you want to look at here is making sure that these marks, okay, if it wears down and rubs through those marks, that you replace these wings. Okay? Also, the flaps, same deal. If it wears down, then you're not going to get that full suction. You definitely want to make sure you snap a new pair of these in. And we'll show you how to do that in another episode. Also, the feet, okay ? One of the most important parts to repair because if you don't, or replace rather, because if you don't, it cold mean damage to the cleaner and to the pool. Basically, the easiest way to do this is to push it down and run your finger across it, all right. If you don't feel a solid bump all the way across because it'll wear to one side; all the way across, it's time to replace the feet. They're easy to replace and they come in sets of four. And those are just a few things you can do to keep your Pool Vac Ultra alive.
