Disassembling the Bolt Carrier of an AR-15 Rifle

Hi, this is Caleb Kelly again. And right now we're going to go over basic disassembly of the AR fifteen bolt carrier. This is the bolt carrier right here. It has the bolt, the firing pin and the bolt carrier. For starts, we just take a multi tool or anything that you can get a hold of this pin with, and pull this pin on the side. This pin holds the firing pin in place. Just take that out, set it to the side. And the firing pin should slide out of the bolt carrier. Here's your firing pin right here. Once you have that out, there's a pin for the bolt carrier that is perpendicular, it sits perpendicular to the bolt carrier. Twist that to where it's parallel, or in line with the bolt carrier. And you pull that up, it should come out pretty easy. That's that part right there. Once that is done, you can pull the bolt out of the bolt carrier. This is the AR fifteen, M sixteen type bolt right there. This is the, these are all the parts for the basic breakdown of the bolt carrier system.
