Safety Tips for an AR-15 Rifle

Hi, this is Caleb Kelly. We're here talking about safety tips and safe handling of the AR fifteen series rifle. Before we go into that, it's good to just remember that any weapon that's handed to you, any firearm that's handed to you, you need to assume that it is loaded. And check to make sure that it is loaded before you do anything with it. And always keep it pointed in a safe direction, with your finger off the trigger. Never put your finger on the trigger unless you're ready to fire the weapon. And this particular weapon, to make it safe, you can lock the bolt back. Drop the magazine out. Inspect the chamber and make sure that there is not a round chambered inside it, and then send it forward. And then dry fire the weapon, making it safe. The features on this rifle that are the safety features are the safety, right here on the side of the weapon. There's a selector on the side right here. On the semi-automatic version there is safe and fire. Now when it's actually been fired and it's, there's nothing in the chamber, you get stays on fire. But it is actually safe. And that's when you know that this rifle is safe.
