Hi! This is Brian on behalf of expertvillage.com. Once you’ve gotten the rods strung through the appropriate channels on the tent, the next step is to actually erect the tent. Several different tents have different systems in order to accomplish this. This particular tent here has a foot and a socket in which you insert the tent. Other tents have pins that are held in place by the tension in the rod, things of that nature. So just be aware of the different varieties available on the market. To properly set this tent up though, simply take the rod, insert into the socket. The next step after that is to go to the opposite side and insert the rod in the opposite socket. That will start giving the tent a shape and start bringing it up off the ground. Then move onto the second rod. There's the tent coming together nicely. Quite often, the tent will also have a tie at the top to keep the rods from shifting relative to each other. It is always a good idea just to put a quick bow-knot on the top of that to provide a little bit of extra rigidity to the tent, and keep the roof from falling down.
