Vocal Phrasing in Female Voice Training

Hi! I am Erica Lane, I am with Expert Village and I am talking about how to train the female voice. Specifically, right now, I am going to talk about phrasing. When you are reading music or when you are even singing music without even looking at the notes on the sheet, make sure that you are connecting your words and your sentences together and in other words when you read a book, the dog ran home, you do not read it like this, the dog ran home. Now, you are always looking ahead at the next word. So, that it will flow together correctly. The same thing applies when you are singing. If I were to sing… without connecting the words together it will sound like this... That’s really not a very pleasing sound and it is very choppy. So, you want to make sure that you do not chop up your words and that you connect them altogether. Especially, when you sing from sentence to sentence that is what good phrasing is called.
