How to Sew a Blanket for a Teddy Bear

Hi, I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now we would sew out blanket section for our sleepy time bear. You want to take the four inch fabric and we are going to sew that to the top of our blanket fabric. So just lay right sides together and we are going to use just a small seam allowance a quarter inch seam allowance. You are going to use a regular stitch two and half length and just sew that right down. You have it sewn, open it up. At this point you could take a iron and press it here. We are going to fold it down like this and we would sew that in place. So I have folded it down. You can pin it, pin it in place to hold that while you are sewing. Just do a top stitch to sew that in place, fold it down. Now you go forward and backwards to knot it and then remove your pins. Finish with a backwards stitch just to knot it and I'm just going to trim of a little bit of that, that was hanging over. So that is our blanket section. Now we are going to work on our dress section.
