I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to choose a red lipstick. When you're choosing a red lipstick there's two main colors of red. There's an orange based red and a blue based red. An orange based red is going to have more of a brown undertone to it or an orange undertone to it. These will work better with people that are more warm complected. People that have more golden undertones to their skin. A blue based red, this one here you can see, has a little more of a blue undertone to it so this is going to work better for somebody who has cooler skin tone. Somebody who has more blue or pink undertones to their skin. Usually somebody who is very fair will look better in a blue based color. But, if you actually put a blue base on somebody who is more warm complected it actually ends up turning kind of pink. And, if you put a warm base on somebody who has a little more cool undertone it is going to turn orange on them. That is one thing you definitely want to determine, which undertone of red is right for you before you choose your lipstick.
