Assemble a Wanda the Whale Above Ground Pool Cleaner

All right now Wanda is almost back to her old self and actually, probably feeling better than she has, because she's full of all sorts of new parts. This is the part of the final assembly. We've worked hard to rebuild her insides, and we worked hard to rebuild her drive train, and feet. She's got new shoes. She's got a new soul. She's feeling good. It's like a day at the spa. Well, here we go. I'm going to go ahead and set it back in, making sure that the front is at the front, and in this one particularly, you want to make sure that the spring sits home, so with that end over here, we're going to make sure that this sits, just so. It's just sort of a little wiggling part here. You just want to wiggle it around as the A frames find their place and inside of here, it's kind of tough to see. You can really take a peak. That spring has been set back into its normal place, and we're ready to screw it in place. Now, the interesting thing about that is, is that happens roughly the same time, that you put on the access plate, that we use to check for debris. Now, don't forget the cone. This does two things. One, it makes sure that debris, the correct size goes through, but also, strangles it off to increase pressure. That's kind of the same theory, when you put your finger over the end of a garden hose, it makes it squirt farther and you can restrict it on the intake. Again, it nestles, just so. It matches the curvature, and with these, these are the ones with the long screws. It's always a good idea to take screws out, before you reset them in place. All right and the panel a couple of little notches here, a couple of little slots there. Go ahead and set the long screws in place, and then I like to push this down, give myself a little bit more working room here and we're going to begin the rebuilding process. I put the first screw in here and then we can work on this one. Now, that spring is going to be working against you a little bit, for the first screw, so I'm going to hold the assembly down, and got that set and now we can just go, good old fashioned opposites. It's ready for the small screw, and then, guess what? The long screw. Jeez, see I knew you knew what was going on, of course, it's the long screw. Ah, securely in place, and now, if you will, the piece de resistance, the last little flat, machine screw, and it's going to go right in here, the little brass cylinder in the back, or a resaver rather, and a little pop in place. With that being said, a little check of her motion, a little spin right there. Miss Wanda is now ready to spend the rest of her life in the pool and that's how you repair and put together, Wanda the Whale, in an above ground automatic pool cleaner.
