Questions & AnswersFrom time to time you might come out and find your automatic pool cleaner just sort of sitting there and not moving. Well, it's not that it's lazy; you just want to check a couple of things for troubleshooting. One, make sure the pump and filter's on. I know it sounds basic, but we get the call all the time. It should be running, and make sure that it's plugged into the skimmer and that it's got flow going through. The next thing, if you've got those two things happening, you'll want to pull the cleaner out. Before you get it out of the water, you want to hold you hand over it and see that you've got suction. If you have all that, you may want to check to see if there's some sort of debris caught in the intake throat, and if there is, let me show you how to get it out. It's a pretty straight forward procedure. This panel right here, you're going to remove these three screws. I keep the chuck on the lowest setting so we don't crack the plastic, but apparently a couple of these are set in, torqued by the factory, there you go. So you remove that bottom plate here, and then this small throat, double check that there's nothing inside of it. Also, you may want to take a peek inside the hole there, and just move it around, make sure the turbine's there. Turn it upside down and if there's nothing else in there, then you're good to go. To put it back, it's pretty easy, just go ahead and do this. You see how it fits, it's rounded at the top, and slippery, watch out when it's wet, the parts on the bottom there, she'll slip right back in. And basically just repeat the procedure to screw her back in place. You've got your two screws right here, one up at the top, she'll be good to go! And then you've removed any foreign objects or debris inside your automatic pool cleaner.
