Well they say the shoes make the man, well, it makes the automatic pool cleaner too. On your cleaner you want to double check that the shoes are really pliable and in good shape. Now, it's true that it only rubbing against a vinyl liner, but over time it really is going to take its tole because it actually pushes and moves, pushes and moves, every time on all four of these shoes, so keeping them in good shape. Now, it's brother inside of a pool, inside of a concrete pool, it's a situation where sure, it can actually damage the cleaner but if you don't replace these and let these go down, it could damage your liner, and that's a situation you just don't want to be in. So, just keep an eye on it and make sure that once these become rough or worn down that you replace them. Replacing them couldn't be easier. All you have to is bring out our old friend the little flathead there, and you should just sort of ease it in between it. It's nice and soft there. Yep and there it goes. Pops right out like this. Now, it's important to put them on in the same way facing the same direction. Now they're all going to face forward. If you look very carefully, one is bigger than the other, alright? As well as one hole is bigger than the other which makes it easy. You can't put them on backwards. Here's a trick. Sometimes they just don't want to go in there because you're pushing against the spring and things. Two things you can do. One is I like to wet them a little bit, a little water right over here and I sort of moisten them up, yeah. The other thing is that you can take a screwdriver like this and place it in here so that when you’re compressing it you're not fighting the spring the whole way, and one side then the other, there. Repeat it four times. Your automatic pool cleaner has got some new kicks.
