Basic Pool Cleaner Maintenance

Wanda the Whale automatic pool cleaner for above ground pools is designed to give you years of worry free maintenance to your pool. Just zipping around picking up debris. But there are a few things we wanted to show you about how to care and maintain it. Now there are a few things you want to double check. On the back of Wanda, right underneath the tail is a screen, here this black part here. It's very important that you keep this free of debris. So, you know, make general maintenance part of your routine when your swimming. If you're in there pick her up and just double check that there's nothing blocking this. Little pieces of dirt and gravel and other things are attracted to it because it does suck through here as it provides suction power for some of its internal parts. All you need to do to keep it clear is just use a toothbrush thing like this, and keep it going, just brush it right in there. You want to use a brush simply because, you know, you can take those surface things out, but those real little tiny things that get in there, and include those real small things. Also, underneath you're going to see a couple of things, flaps, wings and feet. These represent your major wear parts. Now the good news is because you've got a vinyl liner pool, that there's not a lot of friction, but, she works so hard there is wear after time. So you do want to make sure that there's always some push, that you can feel that is making contact and that the feet are in good shape, that there is no wear holes through here, and actually on the wings themselves, a very crucial part as it makes a whole suction pattern, there are wear marks on this. So if it ever wears up to or past the wear mark, replace them right away, otherwise you will only be able to just clean directly under her thing. Now other than that, that's some quick basic stuff you can do to check your wear parts, and maintain your Wanda the Whale in keeping your pool looking clean.
