How to Make a Pop-Up Star: Part 3

Hi, I'm Karen for Expert Village. If you do use glue it's good to use like a thick craft glue, like a tacky glue that won't cause your paper to buckle at all and you want to make sure that they are secured tightly. They also have like the little double stick dots are good to use to secure. Want to make sure that they stack up like a nice little even pile. Now the thicker the paper you use, the thicker your stack is going to be so if your going to send it through the mail you want to keep that in mind. The vellum one is much thicker than, it's wants to really pop out, it's much thicker than the one made of paper and this ones a little bit it's not a card stock it's actually a piece of wrapping paper and it works very nicely also. Ok let's continue, you can make this with as many sections as you want, you can experiment. Six is, five or six seems to be a good amount but you can, the more you make the fuller it will be. This one is with six and this one is with five sections. A little different. And one more section to go. A little stick tape and then we'll be attaching our strings and just stack that nicely so it looks like we just have a pile of paper and we'll just check it out, that's what it's going to look like and now we'll attach our ribbon. Now if your using a paper and it's a little bit flimsy, this one's nice and firm so I'm not going to put, but if your using a paper you want to get cut a little bit of card stock to adhere to the end and in that case you would tape or glue your ribbon to the corner there and sandwich it between a piece of card stock, like this, now here you could write a message or greeting.
