How to Make a Pop-Up Bell: Part 1

Hi, I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now will show you how make this folding and cutting paper craft that the same thing can yield a princess or a bride to hang for a decoration a tree or a bell. Now what you will need for this is a piece of paper. Any size paper that you would like. I am using an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet. You might need a little cord or stickers to decorate with, and some marking pens if you want to decorate with and maybe a little double stick tape or glue. First thing we will do is fold our paper into quarters, you can do that by matching up the corners there and creasing and again you fold it in half again and crease. So you have a quarter folded piece of paper. Then you are going to fold it on the diagonal like this at the corner you want to make sure it is folded exactly at the corner and matching at the sides here, so if you hold that into place first crease the corner hold that in place and then crease the side down like this. So, the first thing we are going to do is round off the bottom. Now if you want to have a little bit of wavy edge when you round it off this is the effect you will get as a wavy edge or on the tree I did a zigzag edge, on the bell I did a wavy edge also so, you can decide at that point. And, you cut at a circle now if you are not sure you can draw a little line there just to keep you on track. We are going to make a little cone shape here and this is going to be thrown away. So we are going to cut this into a little wavy nothing very particular just making the scissors go back and forth like that. And, this part will be discarded or as we used with the bride ornaments or princess as she has a crown, you can save the end to make the figure on the top. So we'll save that aside.
