Adding Chicken to Jambalaya

Hi, this is Karl James owner of Creolesoul Catering located in Round Rock, TX and I'm Taylor Glover and on behalf of Expert Village we are here to show you a chicken and sausage jambalaya. Okay, now we're at the point where we're going to add that chicken that we chopped up earlier, we're going to add that in. We are also going to add our chicken stock to this mixture and keep mixing that up. Get that chicken and everything mixed up good with that rice, if you don't have chicken stock you can use water. If you wanted to you can use a dry red wine it doesn't matter but your taste like you can use a white wine. But if you use water make sure you season it well, put a little more stock in there. If you want it to you can use seafood stock or vegetable stock. You can make your own chicken stock, seafood stock or vegetable stock. You can buy it in these nice cans, they sell it at the grocery store. So I think we have a nice mix going here. We're turning up our heat a little bit we are now then going to cover this let it cook for a little bit so the rice can absorb that liquid that is in there. We'll put the top on it and occasionally check it and stir to make sure that nothing sticks and we'll see you back at the next step.
