How to Finish Stretches in Hatha Yoga

MARCEL LEIGH: Continuing, head up, nice stretch, open elbows, relax the shoulders. Roll the neck and head down. Now, I want you to take your legs, stretch them up, up, up, up, up. They need to stretch up. Again, lift your head, lift your chest. Reach your hands to the backs of the legs, calves or ankles, not in the knees. Now, if you can't point the toes toward your face, take the toes and gently pull back, roll the neck and head to the floor. Oh, this feels so wonderful. Relax and breathe. Coming out of this position, hold the toes or the backs of the legs, chin is down, slowly guide your spine down. Once your hips are on the floor, release your arms to the sides, bend back the knees, stretch your feet all the way out and open and give your whole body a little shake. Chin is down. Nice, deep yoga breath. Until next time.
